Jamie Buxton was born in Oklahoma City and grew up singing, tap-dancing, and playing the piano. Jamie stepped on the stage twice when she was eight years old: first as Gretel in the school play Hansel and Gretel, then as Gretl in a local production of The Sound of Music. Jamie graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma, where she also played Gretel in the opera Hansel and Gretel. By the time she moved to New York, Jamie had played leading roles in Dames at Sea, Me and My Girl, Gypsy, The Fantasticks, The Rocky Horror Show, A Chorus Line, The Sound of Music, Grease!, Falsettos, Anything Goes, The Music Man, Annie, Fiddler on the Roof, and The Who's Tommy.

A veteran performer of over sixty shows, Jamie is a member of AEA and AFTRA and has performed onstage from Paris to Honolulu. Touring credits include A Chorus Line as Val and Hair with Adam Lambert. Regional credits include Peggy Sawyer in 42nd Street, Ado Annie in Oklahoma!, Hairspray with North Shore Music Theatre, and seventeen productions with Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma. Jamie played Debbie in the film Rainbow Around the Sun (SXSW, Athens International film festivals, et al.) and most recently performed in the live stage version with NYMF in New York City. Her other film credits include Star-Crossed and Overheard in NYC, and her television appearances include The Tyra Banks Show and the Animal Planet miniseries Monsters Inside Me. Jamie is represented in New York by About Artists Agency. Next up, Jamie will perform as a singer/dancer and understudy to Mrs. Claus in the Radio City Christmas Spectacular in Nashville.
